Pauntley Court, tucked away in the Gloucestershire countryside, is a venue full of charm and history. It’s an intimate setting, perfect for couples who want to celebrate their wedding weekend surrounded by nature and characterful interiors. Recently, I had the opportunity to design a seasonal editorial shoot here, creating floral designs that complemented the venue’s timeless beauty. This shoot was taken place in the autumn but the colour palette inspired by the spaces we decorated and could be used at any time of the year.

Styling the Ballroom: Three Distinct Table Designs
The ballroom at Pauntley Court is an elegant space with intricate details that lend themselves beautifully to floral styling. For this shoot, I put together three different table designs, each with its own mood and character.
1. Classic White & Green Elegance
For a refined and understated look, I used a mix of glass bud vases. Soft white blooms and lush greenery kept the tablescape fresh and elegant, while crystal and gold crockery from Alba Tableware added a touch of sophistication.
2. Romantic Blues & Pinks with an Autumnal Twist
This table introduced a richer colour palette, featuring a medium bowl arrangement with blue, pink and dusky-toned flowers. Seedpods added texture and a subtle nod to autumn, making this design perfect for couples who want a soft but seasonal feel.

3. Floral Meadows for the Top Table
For the top table, I created two floral meadows on either side, filled with pink and white blooms. The venue’s grand mirrors and curving wall details inspired the shape and flow of these arrangements, ensuring they felt like a natural part of the space. Alba Tableware completed the look with their carefully curated table settings.

The Stretch Tent: A Relaxed Outdoor Setting
Outside, under the stretch tent, we set up a long trestle table in collaboration with Tusk Collection. Grey stone meadow troughs filled with blue and white flowers ran down the centre, tying in beautifully with the napkins and crockery. Glass bud vases and brass candlesticks added height and warmth, while LED pillar candles provided a soft glow. To bring the whole space together, we styled the bar with a statement bowl arrangement, echoing the colours and textures of the tables.

Winter Wedding Inspiration: A Simple, Seasonal Mantelpiece
For couples planning a winter wedding at Pauntley Court, I created a mantelpiece design using evergreen foliage—simple, natural, and perfect for adding warmth to the space. It’s an effortless way to bring a touch of the season indoors, especially for those hosting a weekend celebration where family and friends gather in this welcoming setting.
Pauntley Court is a truly special venue, and it was a joy to bring these ideas to life. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned that the venue includes its own church! I am so excited to design wedding flowers for that as well!
If you're planning your wedding here, I hope this gives you some inspiration for how florals can enhance the space in a way that feels natural and in tune with the surroundings. We cannot wait to return this year creating untamed, whimsical and eco-conscious wedding flowers for our couples.
