Sunshine Wedding Flowers in Monmouthshire
Venue: The Rolls of Monmouth
Photography: Joshua Rhys Photographer
Kim and Adam’s wedding at The Rolls of Monmouth was a celebration filled with warmth, love and the happiest shades of yellow. They wanted their flowers to feel natural and joyful, so we wove in golden tones, terracotta, white and green, with little touches of brown and orange to complement the venue’s stunning interiors and golden chairs.
Kim's bridal bouquet was a whimsical, delicate arrangement, including the most amazing Dahlias, Sunflowers, Scabious, Solidago, Agastache, Rudbeckia, Straflowers, Cosmos, Geum, Parsley flower, grasses and more beautiful species. Her sisters had matching, more petite version of her bouquet to compliment the overall look. I aimed to create textural, little posy-like buttonholes for Adam and his groomsmen, as well as for their little boy, Archie, who looked adorable with his own tiny buttonhole, matching his dad's. What a sweet touch to the day, as well as the flower girl and page boys with their own miniature arrangements.
For the ceremony, we created aisle arrangements in golden footed bowls, packed with beautiful British-grown flowers. After the ceremony, these were repurposed as table centrepieces, seamlessly tying everything together. The ceremony’s main floral focus was two grand urn arrangements on pedestals, framing the space beautifully, along with a trailing, whimsical design for the registrar’s table. Every single flower was grown in the UK and arranged with sustainable, foam-free mechanics—just the way we love to work.
The Rolls of Monmouth, set in the stunning Monmouthshire countryside, made the perfect backdrop. Once home to Charles Rolls, co-founder of Rolls-Royce, the grand mansion, lush gardens, and sweeping views added to the timeless feel of the day.
Kim and Adam’s wedding was proof that yellow wedding flowers bring so much joy and personality on their August wedding. This colour palette would be incredible for an early spring wedding too. II can't stop envisioning Mimosa, Tulips, Ranunculus, Narcissi, Freesia and Forsythia rambling through a ceremony arch!
