A lot of planning goes into delivering a wedding—any florist will tell you that. Now add soaring summer temperatures into the mix, and things get even more jazzy. 😎😅

For Emily and Harvey’s marquee wedding in the heart of the Malverns, I had to factor in more than just colour palettes and vase life. We were working in an open field at their family home, with the marquee entrance facing west—meaning the flowers would be basking in the hottest sun all afternoon. We created the dreamiest giant marquee entrance installation, table wreaths, top table flowers, marquee light fittings and bridge decor, milk churns, wedding bouquets, buttonholes and wrist corsages.

To prepare, I selected blooms that are more heat-tolerant, invested in an air conditioning unit and carefully considered how our sustainable mechanics would hold up in full sun. Thankfully, everything behaved beautifully—the flowers stood strong, helped by our water-based, foam-free methods.

I couldn’t be more proud of our team for bringing this dream to life. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of @flower_lodge @auroranyxfloraldesign and @flowersfromtheglade 🥰. Thank you for your hard work amazing people!

From start to finish, everything came together just as I had envisioned. We had such a joyful time preparing alongside Emily and Harvey’s family, who were endlessly warm, welcoming and so much fun.

The most flowers I’ve ever had in the workshop—1,227 stems to be exact! 🌺

And that’s not even including the foliage (which I couldn’t squeeze into the photo). 😅

It was such an incredible week—full on, but amazing. Two weddings for two lovely families. I really do feel so lucky to work with such kind, fun people who are just as excited about flowers and nature as I am. 🥰

I’d been planning this week for a while… spreadsheets, mood boards, sketches, itineraries, flower recipes, logistics, equipment lists, early orders, sorting freelancers, transport—basically everything.

We had to work around the heat too—picking flowers that would cope better and doing everything we could to keep them cool until the big day.

It honestly came together because of the team. Everyone was brilliant. Even with the extra challenges that the heat had thrown at us, we made it work—and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. A huge love to the most incredible team for wedding No.1 and No.2 🤍:

🌿So much thought went into creating Amy and Harry’s wedding flowers at the breathtakingly unique @theromanbaths, part of @bathshistoricvenues.

The couple gave me complete creative freedom, which allowed me to design something truly personal and one of a kind. Amy adores lavender, so I mixed soft purples into a palette of whites, sage greens and beiges—tones that beautifully echoed the water and the timeworn Bath stone surrounding us.

Wanting to honour the ancient history of this remarkable venue, I took inspiration from a Roman-Mediterranean garden. We used fragrant elements like jasmine, curry plant, oregano, bay, olives, fennel and sage to create a sense of timelessness and place.

Even more special? Amy and Harry were passionate about sustainability and preferred a fully British-grown floral palette—everything was sourced seasonally from @theflowerhubatpauntley. An absolute dream to work with. 🤍

They’d have so much to say about flowers! 🌺

What a month—super versatile and so much fun. We had everything from classy whites to bold, vibrant colours, a mix of traditional and modern styles and wrapped it all up with the dreamiest pastel country garden wedding. A castle, a barn, a church, a marquee and a beautiful British country garden… what a dream! ☺️

I absolutely LOVED how different they all were, but they still had that natural, garden-inspired style we’re known for (and obsessed with, let’s be honest).

A timeless setting, naturally enhanced 🌿

A natural yet traditional church floral decoration, using our plinths with large urns at the altar. Finishing it off with meadow arrangements at the base created the perfect backdrop for Morgan and Lewys’ wedding at St Mary’s Priory in Monmouth.

Bud vases added a little sparkle to the aisle and lifted the arch as the couple entered this special space. A simple yet effective idea that’s easy to repurpose and use at the wedding reception afterwards.

When your wedding bouquet is delivered in the most unexpected way! 🌺

You might know (or maybe not!) that I come from an education background. My mum is a teacher for children with additional needs, and I graduated as a primary school teacher myself.

After moving to the UK 11 years ago, I found my way into early years education — and I’ve loved it ever since. Even now, alongside my floral work, I continue working with this wonderful age group. It keeps me grounded, curious and inspired by the smallest details.

That’s really where the phrase “Natural floristry for the wild and curious” comes from — a reflection of my intention to create designs that ignite our inner child, evoke wonder and bring back memories.

I was reminded of this during Caitlin and Shane’s wedding. Some little ones were watching while I waited to deliver the bridal bouquet. They were incredible — showing self-regulation, deep understanding and such excitement about being part of something special.

When they asked if they could help deliver the bride’s bouquet, I could’ve said no. But I would’ve taken away a truly special experience from these evolving little personalities. Instead, I put my trust in them — and they absolutely rose to the moment.

Not only did they carry out this important job beautifully, but they also gained confidence, self-belief and the joy of being part of something unforgettable. A moment that supported their well-being and sense of self-worth on what can often be a long, overwhelming day.

The reality is that we wouldn’t have an organic, authentic, curiosity led style without British flowers! 🌿

They are the soul of our design. ‘The salt in our food’! And as I love food, let’s have another food related metaphor: ‘the butter on our bread!’ 😁

These beautiful, seasonal, ethically grown, unique, scented, textural materials are always so inspiring, exciting and different. They are not only amazing to help to keep our carbon footprint low but simply help us to connect with nature, celebrate what’s around us and encourage us to appreciate the little details.

Since being a little girl, I always loved plants. Observing them how they grow, learning how they work and built up, so much so, that instead of going to learn floristry in a collage, I decided to learn horticulture and botany via the RHS. Which is super helpful when it comes to understanding the needs of certain flowers and their seasonality. 🌺

BRITISH FLOWER WEEK 🌺

You might be wondering, “What does eco-conscious actually mean?”

For us, it’s about being thoughtful and intentional. The flowers in this bouquet weren’t just chosen for their colour palette—they were selected with the environment in mind too. Most are organic, British-grown stems, sourced locally from our trusted growers at @theflowerhubatpauntley. 🌿

Why does that matter?
Because a single imported flower can generate up to ten times more CO₂ than a locally grown one. That’s down to airfreight, heated greenhouses and chemical treatments used to keep pests and diseases under control.

We’re not 100% British-grown all year round—and that’s okay. Sustainability is complex. When we do use imported blooms, they’re chosen carefully—with thought for how they were grown, how far they’ve travelled and whether they support more ethical and environmentally responsible practices.

Being eco-conscious isn’t about being perfect—but it is about being aware. And we’re proud to use other methods to reduce our carbon footprint too, like foam-free mechanics, reusable materials and compostable packaging.

We know there’s a lot to consider when planning a wedding and that’s where we come in. You don’t need to worry—we’ll take care of making mindful, planet-friendly choices for you. ☺️

We worked at some stunning locations with incredible main entrances which have so much potential to leave a lasting impression. A broken arch like this one creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. An absolute dream moment for every wedding floral designer! 🤍

When our lovely bride’s vision combines with our signature cottage garden wedding flowers style, love for texture and playful floral movement, that’s when our arrangements truly bring out raw emotions. (@planetglammakeupstudio @bethanmobilehairdresser have done a fantastic job, so no makeup or hair was massively harmed 😁).

Sophie’s favourite flower is Gypsophila, a delicate filler flower we don’t often use to be honest. But for this cottage garden wedding, it was a great choice! Especially in June, when Gypsophila blends beautifully with other airy filler flowers. For Sophie’s bridal bouquet I used Ammi and Saponaria, creating that soft, natural texture.

To complement the delicate fillers, I layered in bigger blooms such as Nigella, Astrantia, Philadelphus, Roses and Peonies. Jasmine served as the perfect base for this airy, trailing arrangement. 🌿

BELLA & PHIL ✨

“Storytelling through wedding flowers” might sound abstract — but let me show you what it really means through Bella and Phil’s beautiful wedding.

From the very first chat, it was clear that this wedding would be deeply personal. Bella and Phil are two kind, thoughtful souls surrounded by the most loving family and friends. For their celebration at Treowen in Monmouthshire — a place Bella had visited often as a child — they wanted every detail to reflect their personalities. That meant bringing together botanical references, family memories and a shared love of art.

Treowen is full of history and quiet magic and it was important to stay true to the spirit of the place. The couple were also keen to keep things as sustainable and nature-led as possible. William Morris, with his detailed floral patterns and earthy richness, became our main inspiration.

In the floral design, we focused on textured, foliage-heavy arrangements filled with meaningful detail — including fennel leaves and hellebores, two of the couple’s favourites. To bring in a sense of drama and depth, I suggested adding pops of plum and deeper, earthy tones, balanced with gentle whites.

So just to emphasise: please don’t be afraid to have a vision — no matter how unusual or not typically “weddingy” it may seem. What really matters is: will it move your people? Will those flowers spark emotions, bring back memories, start conversations?

Remember: anyone can have (so-called) pretty flowers — but only you can be the muse for your day. I’m just the painter...

🌺British flowers are only good for ‘rustic’ weddings 🌺
Nope! They’re sculptural, romantic and utterly gorgeous — with some amazing cultivars you simply can’t get elsewhere.

🌺 Pinterest is our blueprint 🌺
Really not. My blueprint is when someone references our work, describes how they want their day to feel or wants to bring in a theme that makes it more them. Pinterest is great for understanding likes and dislikes — but let’s be honest, it’s often a bit unrealistic.

🌺 Only tightly arranged flowers are elegant and luxurious 🌺
If that’s your style, great! But in my opinion, flowers are here to create art, stir emotions and tell a story. That connection between the couple and the designer — that’s the real luxury. Oh, and the exquisite flowers help, too. ☺️

🌺 Floral foam isn’t that toxic 🌺
You can convince yourself all you like but science is science. I’m not using it as an easy alternative to proper sustainable mechanics. End of.

🌺 You need peonies in October 🌺
You really don’t. There are so many beautiful seasonal alternatives growing naturally at that time of year. If you must have peonies, get married in May — save money and be a little kinder to the planet too.

🌺 Anyone can throw flowers in a vase 🌺
Sure — but designing with intention, solid mechanics and a sense of balance takes years of learning and practice. Plus logistics, timelines, flower care and clean-up… If you want to spend your wedding eve arranging bud vases with your bridesmaids, go for it! Just make sure you’re not overpacking your once-in-a-lifetime day. 🥰

I absolutely love reading other people’s opinions on this trend. It is so different between each areas within the wedding industry but I find all quite useful. What would you add that put you at ease?

Door installation in progress for the most welcoming entrance – such a great spot to dress! 🥰

I love creating big, joyful installations for weddings and events. There’s something so magical about transforming a space with flowers – the prep, the chaos, the ladder wobbles, the moment it all comes together... I live for it. And seeing our couple’s reaction at the end? That’s the absolute best bit. ❤️

We kept it sustainable, as always – just water and chicken wire – and used mostly British-grown flowers from the wonderful @theflowerhubatpauntley, with a few extra stems from @flowervisionbristol to mix things up. What do you think? 😁

SPOTLIGHT ON BROADFIELD COURT 🌳

Tucked away in the rolling valleys of Herefordshire lies the beautiful, full-of-wonder Broadfield Court. Dating back to the 16th century, its architecture has evolved over the centuries, giving the space a rich cultural depth and unique character. The outdoor woodland is perfect for a nature-filled ceremony and the lawn is ideal for a marquee or tipi celebration.

We’ve had the huge pleasure of flowering two weddings at Broadfield so far and we absolutely LOVED every minute of it. Fran, Alex, Helen and John are the warmest hosts — we always feel so welcomed and supported when creating florals at their magical venue.

The photos above are from two very different weddings, each designed around our couples’ unique visions.

✨ Liv and George dreamed of a eucalyptus and pampas wedding with a modern twist. We brought in natural, seasonal flowers to soften and elevate the design — perfect for early June.

🖤 Katie and Sam went for a moody, quirky Halloween vibe but kept it all grounded in nature. With the late-October date, we could weave in moss, berries and even mushrooms among the flowers — all adding that wild, unexpected touch they were after.

Just yesterday, we dressed the front entrance with something completely new — a little teaser of what’s possible at Broadfield. I’ll be sharing photos soon but for now, I’m letting the couples visiting today’s open day enjoy it first. ♥️

When one of your biggest idols visits the UK to teach her signature floral techniques, you of course want to meet her and learn as much as you can from her! Ae Jin at @keirafleur is a floral genius and has been admired by me for years! ♥️

I feel honoured to have had the chance to learn from her @hill_barn, located in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, alongside many talented floral designers, including the lovely @auroranyxfloraldesign , who was so nice to catch up with! 🥰 Forever grateful for Jess and Jennie from @gaiavessel and @libertylaneflowers for organising this workshop — it was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. ☺️

The day started with an introduction to the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ behind Ae Jin’s style, walking us through her thought process, most effective sustainable mechanics (which, to be fair, as an eco-conscious wedding floral designer, we are already familiar with), and the way she positions the flowers to achieve the look of her signature style.

Then we created a stunning focal arch, using a mocha, peach and mauve colour palette, mixing some foliage with the most exquisite focal flowers.

After having a super delicious lunch around the most beautiful table set-up, provided by the wonderful @chippingnortoneventhire @duchessbutler @miss.ingredient , we returned to design a show-stopping window display. Although I wouldn’t normally choose to use painted and dyed florals in my own designs, it was such an exciting experience to explore different materials and see how they can completely transform a floral installation. ☺️

So — to all the couples thinking about going big with your floral displays and wanting to create an immersive experience for yourselves and your guests — I’ve now got even more ideas on how that could be possible. 😍 I just can’t wait to get going with wedding season now, as we have some real goodies coming up! 🤗

Lots of charming, whimsical details in this wedding breakfast set up at the ever so wonderful @dewsall.court .

The Wainhouse was decorated with lots of evergreen foliage, alongside hues of red, burgundy, purple, pink, orange, yellow and white. The perfect eco-conscious spring wedding, featuring 90% British grown flowers, arranged in water with chicken wire, avoiding any single used plastic or single used manufactured mechanics. ❤️💜💗🧡💛💚

The word that gives me the ick — BRIDEZILLA. 👎

Yep, “Bridezilla” is definitely one of those words that gives people the ‘ick’ and for good reason. It’s dismissive, it’s gendered and it belittles someone who’s likely just trying to manage a huge, emotional, once-in-a-lifetime event with countless moving parts.

Recently, a lovely bride-to-be apologised for “bombarding me with questions” about her wedding decor — and it really made me pause. This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time.

I really dislike labelling people — especially when the label carries a negative meaning. It’s not helpful. Planning a wedding is a huge emotional rollercoaster. Unless you have a planner, it’s basically a full-time job filled with research, admin, money talk and sometimes even family pressure.

Couples don’t just want the day to be beautiful for themselves — they want it to be special for everyone they love. There’s so much riding on it emotionally and that can be overwhelming.

The truth is, there’s no such thing as a “bridezilla” or “groomzilla.” Just overwhelmed, anxious people who deserve to be understood — not judged.

If you’re supporting someone through wedding planning, lead with empathy and intuition, not labels. Next time you see someone who needs a boost, offer reassurance (or even a hug!) and remind them:
They’re doing their best — and they’re not alone. 💛

And this doesn’t just go for nearlyweds. It’s for anyone, anytime — a little reminder as we begin Mental Health Awareness Month that a bit of kindness and compassion can go a long way. 🥰

I’m not too bothered about following trends. Don’t get me wrong — I find them incredibly exciting and love seeing how things evolve each year, but I use them more as an inspirational tool rather than something that dictates my own style.

We’re all unique individuals, with our own tastes, characteristics and quirks — and I feel all of that would be lost if we started copying whatever happens to be trending at the moment. Trends change constantly anyway: what feels fresh today might be forgotten tomorrow. (Remember table runners? They were everywhere for a few years and now they’ve quietly slipped out of fashion.)

What I’m trying to say is this: when it comes to designing your wedding flowers, my aim is to express how I see you — as a couple and as individuals. That’s why I find it so important to understand what truly matters to you. From our very first consultation, I want to get a feel for who you are, what lights you up and how we can translate that into flowers.

When I present your personalised proposal in our second chat, I want you to feel seen, listened to and understood. And that’s just the beginning. The process evolves as we move closer to your wedding day and that’s the beauty of working closely together — creating something thoughtful, layered and meaningful.

Wedding inspiration from the Shire… 🌺🌿

Mossy tables, ferny textures, candlelight everywhere — and not a single orc in sight. Just joy, love and a couple who wanted their day to feel like an enchanted woodland adventure, with flowers that looked like they’d been picked straight from Bilbo Baggins’ kitchen garden. 🍏

I’m all for weddings with a bit of a theme — whether it’s fantasy-inspired, vintage glam or full-on Bridgerton. It’s such a fun way to tell your story and make the day feel very you. ❤️

Katie and Lee got married at The Haybarn in Herefordshire, surrounded by their closest and dearest. We designed their florals to reflect the whimsical, woodland feel they were after — using seasonal, British-grown flowers (including a few species you might spot in the Shire), plus crab apples, herbs, and moss-covered tables for that extra touch of Middle-earth magic. We used milk churn columns to create a striking focal point at the ceremony, which then was used to decorate the top table with potted herbs and stone bottles, alongside @weddinghelperuk thoughtful and beautiful decor. 🤗

Well, it can vary depending on the style and size, but on average, a bridal bouquet includes around 30 stems of flowers. This particular one I made for Helen had 41 stems—a little more than average but completely worth it for the abundant, luxurious feel we were after. ✨

I wanted to create something that felt wildly elegant and full of movement, using the very best seasonal materials with a few extras like the cappuccino rose and daucus to help the colours blend beautifully. We were aiming for a mini colour palette, so blending mauve with salmon, peach, sand and a touch of white felt like the right combination. And the scent? Just perfection—from the jasmine, narcissi and tulips working together so delicately.

🤍 Forget-Me-Nots & Wildflowers 🤍

When I first met Laura, she described her vision of a relaxed, wildflower-inspired wedding featuring delicate forget-me-nots. She wanted everything to feel as natural and untamed as possible—something I was so excited to create.

The bouquets and buttonholes were light, airy and full of texture, reminiscent of a whimsical meadow, finished with crushed chiffon silk ribbon that blended beautifully with the flowers.

We decorated a wooden arch frame with British-grown irises, cow parsley, cornflowers, wild grasses and forget-me-nots, adding agapanthus, nigella, and limonium for extra depth and movement.

For the tables, Laura chose delicate glass bud vases paired with tealights, bringing a soft, romantic glow to their wildflower meadow-inspired wedding.

Let me tell you, creating a true wildflower-style design isn’t as easy as it looks! These delicate blooms needed extra care and specific conditioning methods to keep them from wilting—but with the right techniques, they held up beautifully throughout the day and reflected the season perfectly.

♥️ Mother’s Day for all the mum figures in our lives. ♥️

Growing up, I was incredibly lucky to have multiple people I looked up to as a mother. But most of all, my mum was the one I turned to whenever I doubted myself, felt uncertain or needed guidance. That hasn’t changed. I’m so grateful to have a mother who, despite living in a different country, still celebrates my achievements, listens to my worries, comforts me when I feel lost and shares her wisdom with me.

I hope you, too, have someone who plays that role in your life, even if your mum can’t be around anymore.

Looking through these wedding moments, I was moved by the special bond between mothers (and in-laws) and their soon-to-be-married children. The pure joy, the unconditional support—it’s everything one could wish for. 🙏

Thank you for all the sacrifices, for supporting us even when you were struggling yourself. Thank you for never judging, for helping us find our way, for accepting our flaws and for reminding us of our strengths. Thank you for your encouragement when giving up felt easier and for believing in us when we doubted ourselves. Your lessons will stay with us and we promise to pass them on to the little ones yet to come.

A spotlight on Victoria’s bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. 🤍

One of our prime examples of creating nature-inspired, curiosity-led floral design for couples who appreciate details, art and interesting botanical elements.🌿

So much thought went into creating Victoria’s bouquet. I spent months searching for just the right materials, collecting blooms from local flower farms, sourcing from wholesalers and gathering and drying ingredients myself. Every element was carefully considered with Victoria’s vision in mind—I wanted to create something that made her feel truly unique.

Look closely at the little details: the graceful movement of the fern, the delicate shine of the honesty seed pods, the tiny black mark on the ammobium and the fuzzy texture of the luzula. Even a dried flower arrangement can convey movement when the right materials are thoughtfully chosen. ✨

Nature-inspired floral design will never go out of style! Why would it? Is there anything more beautiful, gentle for the soul and more harmonious than our natural surroundings? 🌿

When Vic and Matt approached me with their idea of using dried flowers and a neutral palette for their winter wedding, I was instantly buzzing with ideas. It was the perfect choice for their beautiful venue, @llantiliohouse .

The large windows look out onto stunning old alder trees, their architectural branches revealed in winter—a magical backdrop that sparked the inspiration to use twisted hazel as a focal element in the ceremony arch and hanging installation. We complemented it with dried grasses, seed heads and flowers to create a wild, ethereal look that felt both timeless and modern.

The result? A calm, understated elegance that harmonised beautifully with the venue’s rustic charm. The flowers felt like they belonged there—natural, effortless and truly in tune with the space.

Bringing Vic and Matt’s vision to life was such a joy! Camilla and I both loved creating these sculptural, nature-inspired designs that felt so deeply connected to their setting.

Who wouldn’t want a stunning focal point at their wedding ceremony? We loved how unique Hannah and Al’s triangle arch had become. Al made the arch frame himself and we mixed fresh spring flowers with dried grasses to seamlessly tie the barn environment with the decor.

Elena and Lucas’ wedding planning process was pure fun from start to finish. From our very first meeting, I knew they’d be an incredible couple to work with.

Elena loves maths (I know, right?)—so much so that she turned it into her career. Naturally, we had to incorporate a little geometry into their design, which led to the hexagon-shaped arch as a focal point at their wedding reception.

One of her favourite flowers is Amaranthus, making it the perfect choice for her asymmetric, trailing bridal bouquet.

Lucas, on the other hand, wanted to honour his Scottish heritage by wearing kilts with all his groomsmen (including the father of the bride)—which I absolutely LOVED. We completed their look with buttonholes featuring Eryngium, a nod to the Scottish thistle.

Both Elena and Lucas have a love for bold colour and everything out of the ordinary. They asked me to use as many colours as possible while keeping their floral palette as sustainable as we could. By working with our trusted British supplier alongside some carefully selected imported stems (~90% British > 20% imported), we created the most colourful wedding we’ve ever designed! 🌈

What a magical start of spring today. Spring is always full of excitement for me, watching nature waking up, observing those early bulbs bringing their first flowers to bloom, seeing the first pollinating insects enjoying them and watching birds beginning to collect materials for their nests. Spring really is wonderful and so special.

These bud vases were created for April and Alex last year @dewsall.court . They had the most amazing day, filled with colour, elegance and natural beauty. Next week is our first wedding of 2025 and there will be plenty of spring flowers added to our mix. I can’t wait! 🥰

For this wedding reception, the venue itself was a big inspiration. Yellow flowers paired with terracotta and white tones in gold footed bowls to blend beautifully with the golden and merlot hues of the orangery at @therollsofmonmouth. A warm, elegant palette that felt right at home in the space.

MONOCHROME BOUQUETS

Monochrome bouquets will continue to be popular in 2025. If you’re like most of our couples and love a wide variety of flowers, you might think these kinds of arrangements would feel too simple—maybe even limited to just one type of bloom. But that doesn’t have to be the case!

For Akua’s bridesmaids, we carefully chose a mix of beautiful, mainly British-grown flowers (90%) from @theflowerhubatpauntley to create an exciting, one-of-a-kind botanical experience. Every stem played a role in making the arrangements feel full of character, thoughtfully designed with a playful and artistic touch—completely unique in shape and style.

We also added matching ribbons to tie all the little details together, bringing everything into harmony for a wedding filled with personal touches.

PETITE SPRING BRIDAL BOUQUET

While I love creating dramatic, large, trailing bridal bouquets, designing April’s petite bouquet last spring was such a joy. Petite bouquets are smaller than the average bridal bouquet and are a big trend in 2025. Despite their size, they can still be filled with a wide variety of blooms for you to fall in love with!

April’s bouquets last year showcased the beauty of early spring. She loved deep, moody tones of plum, purple and red, balanced with pops of orange, buttercream, blue and white.

April and Alex were passionate about creating an eco-conscious wedding experience for their guest with sustainable choices in mind. They were focusing on using only spring flowers in their wedding decor, with a preference for British-grown varieties. Their arrangements featured hellebores, tulips, narcissi, flowering currant, snowflakes, blossom, wallflowers, fritillaries and willow, with a few imported anemones, ranunculus and muscari added in. It was a feast for the eyes—and the delicate scent was divine! ☺️
